Holidays with children and toddlers at Weissenhäuser Strand
The Holiday and Resort Park Weissenhäuser Strand is the ideal choice for a family trip with young children. We offer numerous facilities and amenities that are specially tailored to the needs of the little ones.
In the Subtropisches Badeparadies, for example, you will find a special pool for babies and toddlers as well as toddler pools with fountains. In the Abenteuer Dschungelland the kids have their own play area with a slide and many other activities. Our playgrounds are also designed for small children, and you can easily book a baby cot in our holiday homes and holiday houses.
We set up some pram garages in the Dünengalerie opposite the Hops Shop so that you can conveniently park your pram during your dinner in the Möwenbräu restaurant or Osteria restaurant. In addition, the Möwenbräu restaurant has a children's buffet at eye level for our younger guests with typical dishes guaranteed to please every child. Comfortable high chairs are also available at our tables, so you can enjoy the meal together with your kid.
Thanks to our paved dune accesses you can easily reach the sandy beach with a pram. This way you can enjoy your beach time to the fullest with the whole family.
Our family lodgings
We have a wide range of holiday homes, holiday houses and family-friendly hotel rooms in the ****Strandhotel. Depending on availability, we offer double rooms with connecting doors in the ****Strandhotel. You will find more children’s discountshere.
Due to the varied sizes of our holiday homes and holiday houses there is space for up to 10 persons. Many of our holiday homes are equipped with an oven, cooker and dishwasher, so you can cook for yourself as you please - just make yourself at home.
In our holiday park there are two barbecue huts directly at the sports and leisure park (Sport- und Spielpark), as well as several barbecue areas in the immediate vicinity of the large playground. So nothing stands in the way of a carefree family holiday at the Baltic Sea.
Wind and weather at the Baltic Sea
When going on a beach holiday at the Baltic Sea it is important to bring adequate clothes and equipment. The weather can vary depending on the season.
In summer the weather at the Baltic Sea is often pleasantly warm, but unpredictable rain showers are also possible. It is advisable to bring light clothing such as T-shirts, shorts, swimwear and sun hats. However, also remember to take rain boots and windproof jackets with a hood instead of an umbrella with you, as it can often be windy on the coast.
In winter the weather is colder, so it is important to bring warm clothes. Several layers are a good choice because you can dress and undress as needed. Thermal underwear, jumpers, winter jackets, hats, scarves and gloves are recommended to protect yourself from the cold.
Regardless of the season, you should also think about sunscreen, sunglasses, beach towels, bathing shoes and a beach bag to carry all the necessary things comfortably to the beach. The weather at the Baltic Sea can change quickly, so it is advisable to check the weather forecast before travelling and bring adequate clothes.

Things to know for your family holiday directly on the beach
Arrival and departure in the Holiday and Resort Park
With any type of check-in there is the possibility to check in around the clock. Our holiday homes and holiday houses are available from 5:00 p.m. Your rooms in the family-friendly ****Strandhotel are already available from 3:00 p.m.
You are welcome to use the leisure facilities and attractions before you move into your lodging and also after you left the holiday home/house or hotel room. Use our SMS service: We will inform you by SMS when your lodging is ready for occupancy.
When it's time to say goodbye again you have time until 10:00 a.m. in the holiday homes and houses and until 11:00 a.m. in the ****Strandhotel. But don't worry, you can still use all our attractions on the day of departure.
Parking during your family holiday at the Baltic Sea
You can sit back and relax because there are plenty of free parking spaces on our premises for our overnight guests. We also have a special parking offer if you are visiting us as a day guest: With the exit ticket for only €3.00 you can visit the attractions and relax in our restaurants and bistros all day long and park your car safely and easily with us.
