COVID-19 Corona Update

Dear Friends and Guests!

As a preventive measure taken to combat the further spread of the COVID-19 virus, the federal government has again decided that all holiday and resort parks will remain closed through Sunday, 16 May 2021.

The long wait is finally over: We look forward to welcoming you back beginning on Monday, 17 May 2021. As soon as we have received the written decree from the state of Schleswig-Holstein, we will provide details regarding the specific requirements and conditions.

We are permitted to open the following facilities (based on current information):

Indoor facilities such as the Subtropical Aqua ParkAdventure Jungle Land and the Dünenbad with fitness area in the ****Strandhotel, must remain closed at this time.

As always, our employees in the reservations department can be reached by sending an e-mail to info@weissenhaeuserstrand.de or by phone on +49 (0)4361 55 40. Due to the current situation, we are experiencing a higher than usual volume of e-mails and telephone calls. Therefore, please understand that it may take up to seven (7) days to receive a response from us.

We offer rebooking possibilities. In addition, our general cancellation policies can be found here: https://www.weissenhaeuserstrand.de/agb/. You also have the option of rebooking your stay free of charge, or you may request a voucher.

Information regarding your arrival during COVID-19 pandemic

We take HYGIENE STANDARDS VERY seriously. Therefore, due to the current hygiene requirements, at the Holiday and Resort Park Weissenhäuser Strand we have taken the necessary measures to conform to this new situation so that we can ensure that you have a relaxing and safe holiday.

In order to ensure that your stay with us is as pleasant as possible, we kindly ask you to take note of the following information and to absolutely adhere to it during these extraordinary times.

General hygiene measures

  • Prior to your arrival, all heavily used surfaces in your booked accommodation will have been disinfected and the room(s) well-ventilated. When cleaning your room, all employees wear a face covering and protective gloves.
  • You will be responsible for adhering to all other hygiene and social-distancing measures during the duration of your stay.
  • Our guest services are well-equipped for cleaning and disinfecting all public areas. All types of surfaces, including touch screens, tables, chairs, and door handles, are regularly disinfected.

Social-distancing guidelines

  • Please keep a safe distance of at least 1.5 metres (6 ft.) to other people.
  • In our restaurants, we use physical barriers (Plexiglas panels) to implement the required hygiene measures.
  • Please always adhere to the markings on the floor.
  • Please avoid shaking hands, hugging, etc. with people that are not members of your household.


  • When checking in, only one member of each booking party may come to the reception area to pick up the room keys or key cards. All other members of the party must wait outside.
  • Always mind the floor markings.
  • Please keep your check-in time to an absolute minimum.
  • If you need to wait, please keep a safe distance to other guests.
  • Five protected check-in windows will be available for guests (Holiday and Resort Park).
  • Our quick check-in service will remain closed.
  • At all potential contact areas, such as the reception desk or the entrances to restaurants, Plexiglas panels have been installed in order to protect our guests and our staff members.

Obligation to wear a mask

  • It is mandatory for all guests to wear an approved medical mask / face covering in the following areas:

    1. In all public areas, for example Dünengalerie, hotel lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevators, washrooms.
    2. Inside all restaurants.
    3. During all body-related applications (e.g., cosmetics, massages, spa + wellness treatments)

  • Approved medical masks / face coverings are the OR masks (DIN EN 14683:2019-10) or FFP2 masks (DIN EN 149:2001), alternatively: KN95/N95 Cloth masks or self-made masks or any other type of face coverings are not permitted.
  • Our employees also wear a medical face mask when coming into contact with our guests.

Test obligation

  • If you feel sick or if you have had contact to an infected person during the last 14 days, please stay at home for your own protection as well as the protection of others. Moreover, please consult a doctor.


  • If possible, please pay with a credit or debit card.
  • You can still pay cash if required.


  • Table reservations must be made online or by phone in advance. Making a reservation at the restaurant is no longer possible.
  • For more information, please consult the information posted at the restaurant as well as on our website regarding the specified timeslots.
  • Please note that our service staff will personally escort you to your table. You are not permitted to seat yourself.
  • Feel free to use our take-away service and pick-up your pre-ordered food and beverages from the respective restaurant.
  • Guest data recorded via the “Luca” app.

Privacy and contact tracing

  • Registration via the ”Luca” app.
  • Health form. We are obliged to ask for your personal data upon your arrival. We must also document this data in writing and save it.
  • In accordance with the pertinent data privacy laws, your data is handled confidentially.


  • Our terms of conditions for cancellations are included or can be found on our website.
  • If you do not agree with the applicable hygiene and social-distancing regulations, you can either cancel your reservation or rebook at no extra charge. If you rebook to a different travel period, extra costs may be incurred. A rebooking is always subject to availability.
  • Due to the applicable hygiene and social-distancing measures, we do not provide any rebates or discounts.


Your booking includes the adherence to all prescribed and designated hygiene and social-distancing measures at the hotel. Once you have entered the premises of the Holiday and Resort Park Weissenhäuser Strand, you agree to the regulations listed above. Our employees are authorised to remind you to comply with the measures. In the event of non-compliance with these measures, we are obliged to ask you to return immediately to your place of residence in accordance with the regulations of the responsible health authority. In such a case, you will be responsible for the organisation of your return trip and will be responsible for all related costs incurred.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Holiday park: Check-in time begins at 5:00 p.m.; check-out by 10:00 a.m.

Four-star Strandhotel: Check-in time begins at 3:00 p.m.; check-out by 11:00 a.m.

The use of the recreational facilities is possible before checking in to and after checking out of the room or apartment.

When is the reception desk open?

Holiday park: daily from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; extended on high volume days

Four-star Strandhotel: 24 hours a day

Where can I go if the holiday park's reception desk is closed?

Your key will be deposited in the four-star Strandhotel.

What payment types are accepted?

We accept cash (euro currency), EC (debit) card and/or credit card (MasterCard and Visa) and smartphone.

Mobile payment using your smartphone

At the Holiday and Resort Park Weissenhäuser Strand, you can pay using your smartphone.

  • In order to make payments using your smartphone, you will either need a credit card or a mobile contract as well as the corresponding app on your smartphone.
  • To make payment, swipe the smartphone containing a near-field communication (NFC) function a few inches above the reader located at the till and the payment is processed.
  • Other providers require you to scan the displayed QR code at the card reader located at the till. In some other cases, a code is displayed. This code must subsequently be scanned by the cashier.

What does parking cost?

Parking is available to our hotel and resort park guests at no charge.

What does the transfer from the Oldenburg/Holstein train station to Weissenhäuser Strand cost?

The transfer costs about €5 per person (ages 4 and over). There is of course no extra charge for baggage handling.

Are bed lines and towels included?

The first set of bed linens and towels is included. We recommend you to bring bathing towels with you.

When is the laundry changed in the four-star Strandhotel?

Towels are changed daily; bed linens are changed every 4 days.

Is Internet or WiFi available?

Free WiFi is available in the hotel lobby, Dschungelland, WaWaCo, in the Dünengalerie and in the holiday apartments.

Is the fee for final cleaning and electricity included in the room rate?

Yes, these are both included in the price.

Is there a baking oven or a dishwasher?

A baking oven and a dishwasher are only available in our "Am Wald" and "An der Düne 75 m²" apartments.

Is grilling allowed?

No, grilling is not allowed in the accommodations or on the balconies of the bungalows, apartments and penthouses. 

Are baby cots or high chairs available and what do they cost?

A baby package is available free of charge upon request.

A baby cot costs €4 per night.

Can a PlayStation or another console be hooked up to the television?

No, this is not possible. 

What is the price of admission to Dünenbad and who has free admission?

Dünenbad is free for guests of the four-star Strandhotel.

Apartment guests pay € 9 for 2 hours and € 12 for an all-day pass.

How can I book a massage in advance?

What are the opening hours of the Subtopisches Badeparadies and the Abenteuer Dschungelland?

Subtropisches Badeparadies: open daily from 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Abenteuer Dschungelland: open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

What is the price of admission in the Subtropisches Badeparadies or Abenteuer Dschungelland for guests?

Travel season A: €10.00 (per stay/person)
Travel season B: €14.00 (per stay/person)
Travel season C: With the Mega Tropenticket you'll only pay a one-time fee of €33.00 and will receive daily admission to Abenteuer Dschungelland and 3 hours of free admission to Sübtropische Badeparadies (not including use of sauna).

Children ages 4 and under are free.

What does children's entertainment cost and who is it suited for?

For children that are accompanied and overseen by their parents, the KIDZ Club is free of charge.

For children who must be overseen by our staff, the KIDZ Club charges € 2 per hour and per child.

What does a game of skittles or bowling cost?

Prices begin at €9 (per hour)

Can I rent bikes, kids' bikes and helmets and what does it cost?

There are bikes and kids' bikes available for rent.

Is there a supermarket?

The holiday park grounds include an EDEKA supermarket that is open daily.

Gibt es einen Hotelservice für Ferienwohnung- und Ferienhaus-Gäste?

Ja, unsere Gäste können auch einen Hotelservice aufbuchen. Bitte wenden Sie sich hierzu direkt vor Ort an unsere Kollegen am Service Point.

Enthalten ist eine Sichtreinigung der Ferienwohnung / des Ferienhauses (Sanitärreinigung, Leeren der Mülleimer, Staubwischen auf leeren Flächen, Betten richten, bei Bedarf Bettwäschewechsel, Reinigung des Fußboden) und der Handtuchwechsel.

Preis: 15,00€ pro Hotelservice.

Ja, am Dorfplatz gibt es einen Waschsalon mit Waschmaschinen und Trocknern.

Eine Wäsche kostet 2 € (2 x 1€-Stück).

Ist das Rauchen in den Unterkünften erlaubt?

Nein, das Rauchen ist in den Ferienwohnungen und Ferienhäusern sowie auf den Balkonen nicht gestattet.

Sollten Sie in einer Unterkunft rauchen, behalten wir uns vor, Ihnen die zusätzliche Reinigung in Rechnung zu stellen.

Kann ich Frühstück oder Halbpension zur Ferienwohnung / zum Ferienhaus dazubuchen?

Ja, Frühstück oder Halbpension können unsere Ferienwohnungs- und Ferienhausgäste dazubuchen. Aktuelle Informationen und Preise finden Sie hier.

Frühstück wird serviert von 07:00 - 11:00 Uhr.
Abendessen wird serviert von 18:00 - 21:00 Uhr.

Jeder Gast, der eine Badekur im ****Strandhotel machen möchte, muss vorab Termine für sich vereinbaren.
